SUMMARY:
1. To establish the Division of Dine Veterans Services through enabling legislation at 2
N.N.C. §§ 1710 -1715, as directed by Condition of Appropriation No.8 to the Fiscal Year 2008 Navajo Nation Comprehensive Budget.
"Division of Human Resources, Department of Veterans Affairs, Business Unit #114012, shall by the end of the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2008 develop a proposed plan of operation, a proposed budget, and enabling legislation for establishment ofa Division ofVeterans Services, including among other subunits, a Veterans Housing Department, for consideration by the Navajo Nation Council and oversight standing committees."

2.To establish oversight responsibility for the Division of Dine Veterans Services by the Human Services Committee by amending 2 N.N.C. § 604(B)(4).
